I never imagined I would live in the same town for more than five decades. Growing up with my parents and 3 brothers in a tight-knit community made leaving difficult. I managed to persuade my husband to swap city life for the suburbs of Canton. Over the years, we’ve raised our two daughters in the place I proudly call home. We're fortunate to have shared countless weekends and vacations with our extended family, including 16 nieces and nephews who live nearby. During the summer, we spend most weekends down the Cape, and we frequently travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to visit our daughters who both attend the University of Alabama—Roll Tide!
My journey in finance began at The Boston Company, where I served as a Senior Mutual Fund Accountant after graduating from Bentley University in 1993. After a few intense years in the industry, I took a break, relocating to Wilmington, NC, to enjoy coastal living. Although my departure was not eagerly celebrated by family and friends, who often flew down to visit, I realized that Massachusetts was my true home. Upon returning, I started at Scudder Kemper Investments, Inc. as a Control Analyst, helping portfolio managers assess companies for fair market valuation.
In 2000, I embarked on new personal and professional chapters: I got married, purchased my first home, and left the financial sector to work with my brother Tom and my father at their family-owned Local #17 Sheet Metal Contractor company. Over nearly 20 years as the Controller/Treasurer, I gained profound insights into the construction industry and formed many friendships with my coworkers and customers.
In 2019, I returned to the Financial Industry to support my brother John in my current position as a Client Service Associate. My role encompasses a wide array of tasks, including daily client contact to assist in opening accounts, transferring investments, and ensuring seamless transitions to suitable opportunities. This is where I belong, and where I intend to finish my career.
