I have more than 25 years of experience in the financial services field. I started my career at State Street Bank as a mutual fund accountant and then as a manager, where I performed mutual fund pricing and reporting and worked with the foreign exchange and options markets.

I launched my financial planning practice in 1994, earning my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional certification in 1996. I enjoy constructing investment portfolios designed to help clients pursue their financial goals. My financial planning practice focuses on retirement and education planning (both accumulation and distribution), income tax planning, risk management, and estate tax planning.

I attended Bentley University and Salem State College, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in finance.

I grew up in Great Neck, New York. From a young age, I always knew that I wanted to be in a service industry helping others. At the age of 12, my father told me to read the Wall Street Journal and find something that interested me. I quickly realized that I wanted to invest in something that was familiar to me, so I invested in IBM, Heinz, and Snapple. Through these early investments, I learned how to track the market and how to build wealth. In high school, I even started saving into a Roth IRA with my part-time jobs.

Once I graduated from high school, I moved to Boston to pursue a degree in finance and insurance from Northeastern University. While in college, I worked on the floor of the Boston Stock Exchange, assisting traders. I’ve also worked for one of the largest private investment firms in the United States.

I graduated with honors from Northeastern University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and insurance. As the son of two teachers, I’ve found my calling in educating others in finance and working tirelessly to help clients achieve their goals. I have the heart of a social worker with the mind of a capitalist.

I understand that each client has a diverse set of needs and goals that they want to pursue. Since 2002, I have been building relationships with my clients to help them save money, reduce taxes, and ultimately make their money work harder for them. I look forward to custom-designing a plan that is right for you!

I grew up in southern New Hampshire and have lived in New England all my life.

However, I have a lot of family in Toronto, and I would often take trips up there to visit them and still do to this day. When I was younger, I would spend summers in Toronto. This showed me a city that was very multicultural. While every person comes from a different background, ultimately, everyone has similar dreams and goals. After graduating from an honors program from Southern New Hampshire University, I volunteered as part of a group of students to visit Beijing during the 2008 Olympics. This was a great experience to explore an entirely different culture and to enjoy the Olympic atmosphere.

I started my financial career at Lincoln Financial during the market downturn in 2008. I was fortunate enough to land a position in client service and trading operations while I obtained many of my industry registrations. Next, I joined Commonwealth Financial Network® and worked in their compliance department, conducting audits of independent financial advisors around the country. I earned my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification in 2014.

I joined Wells Financial Partners in 2016 to assist clients in building financial plans to achieve their dreams and goals.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, especially traveling and visiting local eateries. I play pick-up basketball whenever I can get in a game. I started playing golf in 2016 when a good friend suggested it and have been hooked since. My game has steadily improved over time, and I now consider myself an avid golfer. If you want to join me for a round, let me know!

What kid grew up in the 70’s and didn’t ride their bike everywhere? At the early age of 10, my bike was my trusted means of transportation which allowed me to work two jobs: a paperboy for the Patriot Ledger and a caddy at the nearby golf club. This set a foundation of values which helped strengthen my character. Working at such a young age taught me how to communicate well with others and manage time, but most importantly it taught me the importance of hard work.

When it comes to work ethics, my mom and dad were the ones who continually instilled the importance of work. It wasn’t until I joined the customer service industry at a local formal wear shop in Canton that I learned the importance of customer service. I found great pride in servicing my customers and retaining customer respect for perpetual business. I think this is why over 90% of my business is from existing client referrals.

I received my BS in Finance from Babson College in 1991, which helped me land my first job in the financial industry at the Bank of Boston. It wasn’t long after that until I became a financial advisor at Commonwealth Financial Network, earning recognition for consistent professional achievement. Such recognition includes being named as a Five Star Wealth Manager* and being named a President's Club advisor for 2024, a distinction based on annual production that places myself among the top 10 percent of the advisors with Commonwealth.

When not working, you can find me golfing, skiing, or spending time in the Cape. I have 4 amazing children, with my youngest two still in college and my oldest two graduated. I’m blessed to have my second son, Kevin, following in my footsteps and entering the financial advising industry. My wonderful wife Kristen is a MD at Mass General, and still puts up with me after 30 years of counting down the days till Christmas…I begin on December 26th.

*2018 - 2024 Five Star Wealth Manager Award, created by Five Star Professional. The 2024 award was presented in 2/2024 based on data gathered within 12 months preceding the issue date. 4,421 advisors were considered, 580 advisors were recognized. Advisors pay a fee to hold out marketing materials. Not indicative of advisor’s future performance. Your experience may vary. For more information, please visit www.fivestarprofessional.com.

I recently moved back to Waltham, the town in which I was born and raised. My prior job allowed me to travel often, I’ve seen over 40 states and countless cities, but the Boston area is home, and I could never imagine living anywhere else. I am fortunate to share home with my wonderful wife, Lori who is a nurse, and two dogs, a Corgi named Blueberry and a Golden retriever named Coco (I would be more than happy to show you the hundreds of pictures I have of them!)

I grew up in a blue-collar, hard-working family. My mom and dad always worked incredibly hard to ensure I had what I needed; I like to think that work ethic rubbed off on me. I have worked for as long as I can remember. My dad was a truck driver for the Boston Globe which helped lead to my first job at 12 years old. Selling Newspapers in the cold in front of Dunkin Donuts at 5am every Sunday morning. It wasn’t a glamorous job, but it taught me so many valuable lessons about life and hard work.

I graduated Cum laude from Western New England University with majors in Finance and Economics in 2012. After graduating, I landed a Compliance job with a small broker dealer in Lynnfield, MA. A year later, I joined Nate Law at Commonwealth as an auditor on the Compliance team. Seven years on the job allowed me to observe and meet hundreds of Financial Advisors. Each advisor did things slightly different, but they all had one commonality, they wanted to help their clients achieve their financial goals. This is what led me to wanting to be a Financial Advisor, I want to try and help you achieve your financial goals and dreams!

When not working, you can find me on the golf course or playing with Blueberry and Coco on our daily dog park trips. Lori and I are foodies, we love trying new foods and restaurants. Shoot me an email and I can give you my top 5 places to eat, or better yet you can give me yours! Every year my college roommate and I take a trip to a new National Park, there is something magical about laying in a sleeping bag and looking up at the millions of stars. I would love any recommendations on food spots or National Parks to visit! I look forward to working with you!

I grew up in Rye Brook & Rye, New York both a small coastal and historical suburb outside of New York City. From a young age, I loved to work with people and got my start working at a local ice cream store in town at Longford’s Ice Cream. They are still making small batch ice cream and it’s been delicious since 1992. Connecting with people and helping them celebrate life’s little victories gave me great joy. I went on to graduate from Northeastern University with a concentration in Marketing & Sociology.

Upon graduating, I taught 5th grade at an inner-city Boston elementary school and enrolled in a Master’s in Education dual-degree program at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts and obtained my degree in Elementary Education (1-6) and as a Reading Specialist (K-12). I worked for several years teaching in the Boston area. Then when my children were small, I took several years spending time enjoying many activities together partaking in museum trips, art & music class, and library story-time--to name a few.

In 2017, Brett had the need for a Marketing Specialist and I was up for the challenge! I enjoy organizing client events that include financial market updates, seminars for colleges/universities, and continuing education programs for clients and individuals interested in learning more about the financial planning process. In 2019, I took on the role of Client Service & Marketing Manager in assisting Brett with his day-to-day client service operations as well as client marketing events since I love connecting with other people and care about their families. I am a people-person!

During winter, I love spending time with my family skiing in Maine during the winter. In the spring and summer, we love to swim, hike, play golf and tennis together as well as visiting the Cape and biking trails. These are some of the summer traditions we look forward to when spending family time together. I also enjoy dancing, listening to music, and reading when I have some quiet time. Brett and I currently reside in Needham, Massachusetts with our two children and our Labrador Retriever, named Vonn (aka: the famous Olympic skiing champion--Lindsay Vonn). Vonn also loves the snow!

I never imagined I would live in the same town for more than five decades. Growing up with my parents and 3 brothers in a tight-knit community made leaving difficult. I managed to persuade my husband to swap city life for the suburbs of Canton. Over the years, we’ve raised our two daughters in the place I proudly call home. We're fortunate to have shared countless weekends and vacations with our extended family, including 16 nieces and nephews who live nearby. During the summer, we spend most weekends down the Cape, and we frequently travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to visit our daughters who both attend the University of Alabama—Roll Tide!

My journey in finance began at The Boston Company, where I served as a Senior Mutual Fund Accountant after graduating from Bentley University in 1993. After a few intense years in the industry, I took a break, relocating to Wilmington, NC, to enjoy coastal living. Although my departure was not eagerly celebrated by family and friends, who often flew down to visit, I realized that Massachusetts was my true home. Upon returning, I started at Scudder Kemper Investments, Inc. as a Control Analyst, helping portfolio managers assess companies for fair market valuation.

In 2000, I embarked on new personal and professional chapters: I got married, purchased my first home, and left the financial sector to work with my brother Tom and my father at their family-owned Local #17 Sheet Metal Contractor company. Over nearly 20 years as the Controller/Treasurer, I gained profound insights into the construction industry and formed many friendships with my coworkers and customers.

In 2019, I returned to the Financial Industry to support my brother John in my current position as a Client Service Associate. My role encompasses a wide array of tasks, including daily client contact to assist in opening accounts, transferring investments, and ensuring seamless transitions to suitable opportunities. This is where I belong, and where I intend to finish my career.

I was born and raised in Norwood. I began playing the viola at age 9 and eventually went on to attend the Juilliard School. I have been involved in the Boston musical community for many years performing as a violist in the Boston Ballet Orchestra, Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra and the Boston Lyric Opera amongst others.

With the same work ethic and discipline, I have also held a real estate license for the past 17 years where I have enjoyed working in marketing as well as guiding clients through the process of buying and selling homes.

I reside in Medfield with my husband and two dogs and am an avid reader.

It is my pleasure to work at Wells Financial Partners to assist our clients with their financial needs.

I grew up in Canton, MA and attended Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood, MA. I currently reside in the Savin Hill area of Dorchester.

In May of 2023, I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a BS in Managerial Economics and a minor in Mathematics. There, I was also the Chancellor of UMass’ chapter of Delta Sigma Pi, a business and professional development fraternity.

If you recognize my last name, that is because I am indeed John’s son. Throughout college, it was evident to me that I would eventually follow my father’s footsteps and join the financial advising world at some point. I loved math, people, and problem solving; all roads were pointing me to this profession. Luckily for me, it turns out they were hiring! Now, I have been a financial analyst with Wells Financial Partners since August of 2023, and am working to become a financial advisor.

When I’m not at the office, you are likely to find me skiing up in New Hampshire or golfing around New England. Outside of that, I am a huge Boston sports fan, and most of all prioritize spending time with my family and friends.

I grew up in Waterford, Connecticut, the son of a truck driver and an office worker. Money was often scarce, but our family was close, determined, and creative. One Christmas in the 1950s, we made over 500 wreaths by hand—my grandfather sold them from his front yard while the rest of us gathered greens and assembled them together. My job was to climb pine trees for the cones that gave each wreath its finishing touch. What began as a way to make ends meet became a treasured family memory and an early lesson in the power of hard work, resilience, and togetherness.

In 1969, I graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in electrical engineering and spent the next 30 years working in that field. But in the mid-1990s, as I began to focus more seriously on my own family’s financial future, I enrolled in a financial planning program at Boston University. What started as a personal journey—to create security and stability for my wife, Sharon, and our three sons, Rich, Russell, and Tom—soon sparked a passion for helping others do the same.

In 1998, I made the leap from engineering into financial planning. I was fortunate to partner with incredible colleagues—especially Stan Steinberg—and together, we built a practice rooted in trust, care, and meaningful relationships. Over the years, Wells Financial Partners, LLC has grown into more than a business; it has become a community of clients and friends who have truly enriched my life.

As I step into retirement, I’m filled with gratitude. Gratitude for the trust you’ve placed in me, the conversations we’ve shared, and the goals we’ve worked toward together. Financial planning was never just about numbers—it was about people. It was about helping individuals and families feel secure, hopeful, and empowered in their decisions.

Working alongside Stan and helping to shape this firm has been the highlight of my professional life—surpassed only by the relationships I’ve built with so many of you. Thank you for the privilege of being part of your journey. It’s been an honor.

All the Best,
Rick

Looking back, my working career has been about customer and client service. After graduating from UMass Amherst with a bachelor’s degree in economics I worked in the highest quality garden center and greenhouse operation in the area. At 25, I was chosen to open, staff, and manage a new operation in Morristown, New Jersey. Two years later, I transitioned into management with The Limited, the very rapidly growing women’s clothing chain.

Both experiences were with very high-quality successful businesses which were visionary with high standards and required hard work. Looking back, the common thread was the customer experience and satisfaction. I feel these experiences taught me the value of aligning with highly regarded enterprises including Commonwealth.

In 1994, I passed the CFP® exam and began working with a successful local financial planning firm. After almost 10 years, my partner Rick Beebe and I decided to open our own practice creating comprehensive financial plans and Wells Financial Partners was born. These last 21 years have been rich with helping people see possibilities and achieving their goals.

The highest value experiences have been the personal relationships I have known and making a difference. As I move into retirement, I look forward to family, friends both old and new, a further focus on healthy living, additional volunteer activities, learning, cooking, cold winter days and the amazing beauty of the spring season.

Thank you all for your trust and confidence over the many years and indulging me your time to read this note.

Sincerely,
Stan
