WHO WE ARE | Biographies

Richard P. Beebe, CFP®, earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University and his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University. This prepared Rick for a 25-year career with Hewlett Packard, where he held positions as a project engineer, project manager, section manager, R&D manager, and regulatory manager. He holds one patent.
Further academic work at Boston University in the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER program has positioned Rick to be able to apply his technical and analytic skills to solving financial problems. Rick received his CFP® certification in 1998 and is a member of  the Financial Planning Association. Rick tackles problems on retirement planning, income taxes, estate planning, college planning, intergenerational gifting, and other topics related to financial planning.  

Many will be familiar with Rick as a co-host of Money Matters, a national radio program that aired on over 70 stations nationwide, and locally on  Money Counts Radio with Stan Steinberg.

Paul Doherty, CFP®, CFS
Paul has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Paul started his career as a mutual fund accountant, then an account manager at State Street Bank, where he performed mutual fund pricing/reporting and worked with the foreign exchange and options markets. Paul started his financial planning practice in 1994 and earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification in 1996 and the Certified Fund Specialist designation in 2005. Paul enjoys constructing investment portfolios designed to help his clients pursue their financial goals. His financial planning practice focuses on retirement and education planning (both accumulation and distribution), income tax planning, risk management, and estate tax planning.

Paul attended Berklee College of Music for two years. Once he realized that he was not about to make a satisfactory living as a musician, he went to Bentley College as a Finance major. Though he enjoyed Bentley College, he did not want to go into debt, so he transferred to Salem State College to finish his college career with a BS in Finance.

Stanley J. Steinberg, CFP®, has more than 30 years of business and management experience. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts. Following his undergraduate studies, Stan completed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER program at Boston University and received his CFP® certification in 1994. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association.

Stan works with his clients on their retirement and estate plans, as well as on developing investment planning, asset allocation, and estate tax reduction strategies. Stan works to assist his senior clients with cash flow planning, capital preservation, long-term care, and asset protection strategies.

From 1996 through 2004, Stan was co-host of the Financial Network, and later of Money Counts Radio heard every Saturday morning on several Boston radio stations. In addition, he made regular appearances as guest host of Money Matters, a nationally syndicated daily financial talk show.
